The Sea of Tranquility is best known as the landing site of Apollo 11, where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made their historic moonwalk on July 20, 1969. Armstrong’s iconic words, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind," were spoken here.

Orders are processed & sent within 24 hours. 

Your land purchase includes the following:

1. Your own unique parcel of land
   The land is marked out with latitude & longitude coordinates and your ownership is registered with the Bureau of Outer Space Land Management (BOSLM).
2. Official Documentation: a custom made Certificate of Title (Deed)
   This includes the landowners name, land coordinates, and unique Torrens identification reference numbers (PDF File, designed to be printed, printable US letter size 8.5 × 11 inches or A4) - see example within the images.
3. Land Location & Boundary
   Land location details document including an aerial photo with the boundary marked out (PDF File, designed to be printed, printable US letter size 8.5 × 11 inches or A4) - see example within the images.
4. A High Resolution Photo
   This is a photo of the Moon with your land location marked with an X (JPEG File, printable up to 11x14 inches) - see example within the images. {Includes an optional version of the photo without the land location marked}
5. Priority Options
   The landowner will have priority options to Space Travel and other Property opportunities that will be made available from USATAKA.

• Complementary link to an interactive online Moon Map showing land position
• Document detailing & information about the significance of the land area you have purchased and how to view the land from Earth.
• Document providing guidance/instructions for printing the above official documents and images

These official documents & images are sent to your email where you can print as you desire. All documents are provided in English only in compliance with international treaties.  The land on the Moon is governed by the Outer Space Treaty of 1967 therefore this land is sold as a novel souvenir.

The Sea of Tranquility is one of the most famous and intriguing features on the Moon:

• Apollo 11 Landing Site: The Sea of Tranquility is best known as the landing site of Apollo 11, where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made their historic moonwalk on July 20, 1969. Armstrong’s iconic words, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind," were spoken here.
• Flat and Smooth Terrain: Unlike other lunar maria, which can be rugged, the Sea of Tranquility features relatively flat and smooth basalt plains, making it an ideal landing spot for spacecraft. This smooth terrain is a result of ancient volcanic activity.
• Rich in Geological History: The Sea of Tranquility is over 3 billion years old and formed during the Moon's volcanic period. It contains some of the youngest lunar rocks, offering scientists valuable insights into the Moon's geological history.
• Not Actually a Sea: Despite its name, the Sea of Tranquility is not a body of water. The term "mare" is Latin for "sea," a naming convention used by early astronomers who mistook these large, dark plains for actual seas.
• Cultural Significance: The Sea of Tranquility has inspired countless works of art, literature, and music. Its serene and captivating landscape has become a symbol of peace and exploration, resonating in various cultural contexts throughout history.
